Colleges to sign service-learning pact today

TSU will host coalition meeting on civic engagement

Service learning in Tennessee colleges and universities will get a boost today as leaders from across the state sign a compact to assist each other in developing student volunteer programs. More than 40 representatives from schools across the state are expected to convene at Tennessee State University this afternoon to begin a state chapter of Campus Compact, a national civic engagement coalition of colleges and universities.
