Dr. Tania Mitchell, the service-learning director for the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity at Stanford University, will visit Pfeiffer University from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Stokes Dining Hall Conference Room on the Misenheimer campus.
Mitchell will lead a variety of educational and informational presentations about service-learning and community service work. The free, interactive workshops and discussions are open to the public, but reservations are required. At Stanford, Mitchell helps faculty members develop service-learning courses and works with students to open opportunities for community and public service that link to their academic goals.
