ServiceBook.org is an internet community for academic service learning where students, faculty and their community partners share project experiences, proposals for new projects, course syllabi, school-wide academic service learning programs and profiles of themselves as ASL advocates and practitioners. ServiceBook also contains the first online ASL encyclopedia, composed of articles written by students and faculty. ServiceBook is now open for the CASE grants Internet competition among students in the United States.

ServiceBook was conceived and is administered by the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Partnership Foundation. Support for the initial construction of ServiceBook was provided by a grant from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation.

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation was established in 1930 “to help people help themselves through the practical application of knowledge and resources to improve their quality of life and that of future generations."
