The Center for Social Concerns of the University of Notre Dame facilitates community-based learning, research and service informed by Catholic Social Tradition. Through the Center, learning becomes service to justice. More about our mission....
The Research Mission of the Center for Social Concerns at the University of Notre Dame is to identify, analyze, and share the evolving ways that service-learning and related educational experiences contribute to college student development and to the efforts of students, faculty, and community constituents toward the creation of a more just and humane world.
Education for justice is both a commitment and theme embeddied in courses, programming, and work with faculty of the Center for Social Concerns. The Center sponsors and co-sponsors events for the campus and local community that serve to educate and to encourage action on behalf of justice and peace.
This section was created to assist students in integrating Catholic social thought with their service experience and actions for justice.
